Only strong components will make strong generators

ENDRESS, because of its technical competence, makes exclusive use of the environmentally friendly OHV technology for its petrol driven generators and the most advanced diesel technology with its low exhaust gas and soot values.

For this reason ENDRESS employs in the 1 cylinder series of HONDA range of engines and the 2 cylinder series the Brigss and Stratton Vanguard engines. The modern YANMAR and HATZ diesel engines are employed for the mobile disel range.

The DEUTZ oil and water cooled industrial engines are used for the stationary generators. ENDRESS is the label which uncompromisingly concentrates on engine concepts for the furture:

  • Absolute observance of Californian gas norms (CARB).
  • Electronic ignition using an automatic decompression device for an easy start-up, even at low temperatures.
  • Only engines which have the higest speed stability for a permanent robust application.
  • Automatic lack of oil shut off in all petrol engines.
  • Only OHV engines with less oil consumption and less petrol consumption.
  • Only engines whichstill operate smoothly when extremely tilted up to 35%.
What you should know about generators

Verify prior to any initial operation that the overall output of the unit to be connected does not exceed that of the nominal output of the generator.
Please note that electric tools require a higher start-up current and may cause a complete voltage collapse.

Types of engines
Petrol engines should be considered when the mobile generator should be small and light-weight and must only run for short periods at intermittend occasions. It is understood that unleaded standard petrol is used for all ENDRESS generators, which habe petrol engines.

Start-up system
A distinction is generally made between two types of start-up systems:
1. Recoil starter to crank the engine manually via a stron pull of an automatic wind-up rope.
2. Electric starter via an ignition.

Synchronous

Asynchronous

Application

All ohmic and inductive consumers

Only ohmic consumers without restrictions. Inductive consumers with considerable restrictions.

Start up reaction

Unproblematic start up reaction, irrespective of the consumer. Compound controlled alternators with 3 times the start up current, Duplex alternators with 4 times the start up current

Problematic start up reaction with consumers which are difficult to start, particulary with alternators which do not have a strengthened start up. A large generators is required for alternators with a strengthened start up.

Loading capacity

The alternator can also be loaded up to 100% by inductive consumers and can therefore be smaller.

The alternator can only be loaded up to 1/3 (without strengthened start up) and 2/3 (with strengthened start up) by inductive consumers.

Regulator

Mechanical regulator IP23. Electronic regulator IP54.

Normally unregulated, capacitor.

Type of protection

Determined by internal cooler IP 23.

Determined by external cooler IP 54.

Determined by the external cooler IP 54.

Protective measrures

Fuse disconnections as protection for user. FI protection switch not necessary.
